CORPORATE PARTNERSHIPS

Humanitarian OutreacH

November 1, 2021 Update

One of the children we sponsored just received her high school diploma. I was also fortunate to find someone to sponsor the student for 3 years of college for hospitality services. So Lucky.

In 2019, I volunteered through IVHQ for a humanitarian mission in Kenya at The New Hope Children Organization, an orphan home, run by one woman, Everline. Thirty-one orphaned children live without running water or toilets in a two-room tin house with eight single bunkbeds in the slums of Nairobi.

For the past two years, I’ve pioneered a mission through GoFundMe entitled, “One Child at a Time”, seeking sponsors for education and donations to the general orphanage fund as they receive no government subsidies and IVHQ pulled volunteer support from orphanages world-wide. Click here for the IVHQ decision.

To date, thirteen children have been sponsored. Any amount of donation is appreciated, even if $5. One dollar a day can feed up to 3 children. Please contact me for a list of children needing sponsors and our FAQ.

Kenny, the first orphan taken into the orphanage, is now in his second year at Mt. Kenya University Nursing School, living in a modest apartment while Monica, a recent high school grad, has been sponsored for 2022 entrance into University of Kiriri for a Certificate in Hospitality Management. Twelve children, from Grades 1-9 have been sponsored. For those not sponsored, we provide small donations of $25-50 per child for enrollment with ‘debt’ under their names. We pray they don’t get thrown out of school but this is the reality we face. We also procured two donors to provide a small monthly stipend for food, diapers, clothing and healthcare to the orphans at home.
